Roblox games and worlds
We build persistent games and worlds on Roblox, designed for repeat visits and long-term operation, not a single campaign spike.
What building on Roblox means
How a Roblox experience is made
Roblox experiences are built in Roblox Studio and scripted in Luau. They run inside the Roblox client on desktop, mobile, console and headset, and they live at a permanent address that can be returned to, updated and extended indefinitely.
How players actually find it
Roblox surfaces experiences through its own search, charts and recommendation system, and through the social graph — players bring their friends. That makes retention and repeat play the levers that drive discovery, rather than paid media alone. An experience that holds attention keeps earning distribution after launch.
Three ways we build on Roblox
( _01 )
Persistent worlds
A permanent destination with its own progression and reasons to return, built to be operated for years rather than weeks.
( _02 )
In-experience activations
A limited-time event, quest or item drop placed inside an experience that already has an audience.
( _03 )
Live operations
Content updates, seasonal events and measurement for an experience already in market and already earning visits.
Roblox, answered
What is a Roblox experience?
An experience is a game or interactive world built in Roblox Studio and published to the Roblox platform. Players enter it from inside Roblox on desktop, mobile, console or headset — there is no separate download.
How do people discover a Roblox experience?
Through Roblox’s own search, charts and recommendations, and through players inviting friends. Because those surfaces reward engagement and return visits, an experience that holds attention keeps earning discovery long after launch.
Can a Roblox experience be updated after launch?
Yes, and it should be. Experiences are living products: content updates, seasonal events and balance changes are how an experience keeps its place in Roblox’s recommendation surfaces.
Does a client need its own Roblox group?
Publishing under a client-owned group keeps ownership of the experience and its analytics with the client rather than with the studio. Where a client does not already have one, setting it up is part of project onboarding.
